About the Band

BRAD GRIFFITH

ELECTRIC & ACOUSTIC GUITAR / VOCALS

Brad has been playing guitar since before he could drive a car (legally) and he is the lead guitarist in Riverbank. Though he fronts another band, he can't get enough of Riverbank and the joy of being able to play with his childhood buddies he grew up with and learned to play music with. Brad brought Doug into the band he was playing with when they were 15, and then Rob was brought on board a few months later. After a couple of years of great times playing together, Doug moved away, but Brad and Rob played together and wrote songs together for the next ten years until Rob moved to Austin in the late 90's. Brad is often complimented on the incredible tone he gets out of his Fender Telecaster, his myriad of pedals and his classic, warm Ampeg tube amp. He spends his days as an accomplished head swim coach at a local High School and spends a lot of his free time combing the local pawn shops for sweet deals on music gear.

DOUG MARTIN

DRUMS / VOCALS

Doug has been playing music and singing since his early childhood and really started focusing on drums when he was about 12 years old. An accomplished drummer who has played across the country with many different groups, his recent return to the Lone Star State has him right back where he started so long ago, playing with his good friends Brad and Rob. Despite the success he has had throughout his music career playing with a diverse group of acts, Doug says the energy he gets playing on stage with his friends in Riverbank is the best he has had. Doug is a successful professional with a HR consulting firm during the day and loves to play music regularly with Riverbank, and a few other bands as well, to re-charge his batteries.

ROB WILLIAMSON

ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC GUITAR / BANJO / VOCALS

After spending 6 years working and living in Austin, Rob has recently returned back to his home towm of Houston and one of his first priorities was getting a new band together with his friends Brad and Doug. The only problem was that Doug still lived in California, but once he convinced him to move back as well, Riverbank was inevitable and the three friends were heading out to live jams to play together within a month or two of Doug's arrival. Rob spent years primarliy as a piano/keyboard player and lead singer with 3 different bands, but has always loved playing guitar from the moment his mother taught him his first chords back when he was in elementary school. He has not brought the keyboard out to any gigs yet, but you never know. Rob also has a day job as a consulting manager for a large software company.

KENNY MARTIN

STEEL & ELECTRIC GUITAR / VOCALS

Kenny is an accomplished musician that the band met while doing live jams in the North Houston Area. He has sat in with the band for a couple of their recent shows weaving in that great steel guitar sound that adds so much to a show. The band will be having him out many more times in the future as collective schedules and logistics allow.

HARRISON HOLLINGSWORTH

FIDDLE

Harrison is a very talented fiddle player whom we hope to have back as a guest as his schedule permits. Harrison is in a great bluegrass / roots band called Wissahickon Chicken Shack. Check out their my space site HERE.
